Miley Cyrus Says Goodbye to Disney!!!

Miley Cyrus as Hannah MontanaMiley Cyrus has confirmed that she will be turning her back on Hannah Montana when her contract for the fourth season of the popular teenage show ends. Hannah Montana is a show about a girl who is a rock star by night, and a regular teenage girl by day. Its a comedy series focused on the trouble the pop star gets into as a teenager whilst trying to keep her secret.

Fans are left wondering how Miley's career will fair when she parts with Disney, is this a complete split from Disney, or a split from Hannah Montana specifically? These questions are still unanswered. Either way, Miley Cyrus has a budding singing career, and is about to go on the Miley Cyrus 2009 Tour.

Another starlet who left Disney after the success of her first feature film is Hilary Duff, who starred in 'The Lizzie McGuire Movie'. However Hilary Duff's split from Disney had more to do with money, and 'creative differences'. Although she's not in need of money, with an estimated fortune of $100 million dollars, but since her split from Disney her career has plunged, and is now lacking work.

For fans left wondering what this split will mean for Miley's career, don't fret because Miley's order book is packed full until 2011. She is currently working on her new movie, The Last Song, and is currently in talks for a tween version of Whitney Houston's box office hit, 'The Bodyguard', which is being dubbed 'Personal Security.'

For those who are already dreading the final episode of Hannah Montana, there is a new series premiering next month o the ABC Family Network with a similar premise starring Alea Vega and David Cassidy which is called 'Ruby and the Rockits'.

Hannah Montana Season 4 Official News!

The manager of Disney has ordered a new set for Hannah Montana and Sonny among the stars.
Hannah Montana, starring Miley Cyrus, will begin shooting the fourth season early next year.
The coming season will be the last in the series and find the Stewart family forced to say goodbye to their Malibu house.

"Hannah Montana has become one of the most important set-icons in the history of television," said the director of Disney Channel Gary Marsh while announcing the news. "Miley and producers have proposed a new set for season 4 which will bring great new characters and new opportunities in the story. "

Last Day Of Filming Hannah Montana Season 3! Exclusive PICS!!!

Check out these crazy pictures of the last day on set of the Disney Channel Original Series “Hannah Montana.” The show is just finishing up filming its third season today. But the good news is that the show was scheduled to shoot another season in the fall! The only character that might not be there in the beginning of the forth season is Mitchel Musso who is taking some time off at the start of the show to work on his music career - bummer!

It’s A Princess Protection Program Weekend!

Princess Protection Program is about to take over the Disney for the rest of the month! Tonight at 7PM ET / 4PM PT Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato’s song “One and the Same” from the Disney Channel Original Movie “Princess Protection Program” will debut on Radio Disney. This is the first song Selena and Demi have ever recorded together!

Next Friday, June 19, Disney Channel On Demand will offer an exclusive preview of “Princess Protection Program.” But the next Friday, June 26 is when things get REALLY exciting!

On June 26 at 8PM Princess Protection Program will premiere on the Disney Channel. The Disney Channel Original Movie will be hosted by both Selena and Demi. Other special things happening that night include a new 1-hour “Hannah Montana” episode, the crossover event between the Disney Channe’s top three shows called “Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana,” a behind-the-scenes look at “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie,” and a brand-spanking-new episode of “Wizards of Waverly Place.” Phew!

But the weekend fun doesn’t stop there! On Saturday, June 27 there will be an encore presentation of Princess Protection Program for anyone who missed it on Friday, or anyone who just wants to see it a second time! Will Mitchel Musso Be Back On Hannah Montana For Season 4?

Mitchel Musso will be back on Hannah Montana next season, but not as a set character on the show. Instead, Mitchel will be appearing in Hannah Montana Season 4 as a recurring character. Mitchel explains this change by saying, “In the last episode of Season 3, Oliver leaves on a six-month tour, so I might miss the first couple weeks of [Season 4]. But other than that, you’ll see me. And I’ll be back with a lot more music. So yes, I’m taking a little time off to work on my music, but I have a bunch of new acting gigs coming up, too. I can’t talk about them just yet, but keep your ears open.”

Mitchel also took some time during an interview to talk about his debut album which dropped today. Mitchel worked really hard on the CD and even made sure not to release it before he was 100% sure that it was done: “It was definitely worth the wait, because I feel much more prepped. I can go into a studio and I know ProTools, all the editing software. I know how to make a song by myself, and that’s where I wanted to be. I wanted to be an artist before I was an artist.”

In terms of which song on his album is his favorite we are SO excited because we love the song he chose! He said, “‘Us Against the World,’ which is a duet with me and Katelyn Tarver. It might be the edgiest song on the record, but that’s where my head is at in music. It’s a very MGMT sound, involving rock and dance and electro and hip-hop all in one. It’s a Romeo and Juliet story about nobody wanting you to be together, but it’s worth it to try. It’s a great message with a great sound. It’s my sound. My second album, that’s what it’s all going to be about.”

Mitchel wrote a lot of songs on his album about having a girlfriend and losing girlfriends, when asked if it was possible that he wrote these songs about his real life experiences Mitchel said, “Well, yeah. I think it’s cool to write about certain people in your life and what’s real and what’s going on. But in my main single, “Hey,” the chorus is, “Hey, I’m screaming at you/I don’t care enough to write you a letter/Now that I’m doing better alone” — basically, “I’m better off without you, no matter what,” and I would never say that to a girl. So that’s just a song. Sometimes I feel like I’m taking on a role when I’m writing a song, and it doesn’t always have to be true. I’m not sitting in my room crying with my guitar, writing a slow solo about a depressing breakup; that’s not me. My songs are about girls, partying and being yourself.” Hmm..sounds like Mitchel is no Taylor Swift!

Hannah Montana Season 4 Confirmed!!! JONAS On Sunday Nights

Miley Cyrus isn’t done with Hannah Montana. The Jonas Brothers, however, are momentarily done with Saturday night.

Disney Channel announced today that Hannah Montana—and the red-hot Cyrus—will be back for a fourth season.

JONAS, meanwhile, the tween-idol band’s fledgling Disney Channel sitcom, is on the move from its original night and time to Sunday, where, presumably, iCarly can’t hurt it anymore.

The move to pick up Hannah Montana, record-holder of cable TV’s biggest audience for a single series telecast, was a gimme—no matter the wig-doffing business in this spring’s hit big-screen version, or Cyrus telling E! Online’s Marc Malkin last year that “we’re thinking this [third season] is our last season.”

Shortly after the Cyrus quote was published, Disney Channel made sure to note to Malkin that it held the option on a fourth Hannah season.

No mere draftee, the 16-year-old Cyrus appears to helping call the shots. Disney Channel said the show’s fourth season, at the behest of Cyrus and producers, will find Cyrus’ TV family “saying goodbye to their beachfront Malibu home.”

There was no word on the future of the wig.

Production on the new season is scheduled to begin early next year. As Miley and father/costar Billy Ray Cyrus both Twittered today, shooting on the third season wraps this Friday.

“i am gonna miss everyone so much,” Miley Cyrus wrote in a no-time-for-punctuation post. “but im super stoked about ‘the last song.’ ”

The Last Song is the big-screen drama Cyrus will shoot this summer during her Hannah hiatus.

In related news, the Disney Channel said today it was renewing its freshman Demi Lovato sitcom, Sonny With a Chance, for a second season.

Responding to an inquiry regarding the status of JONAS, which hadn’t aired a new episode in two weeks (after premiering only a month ago), the network said the show was getting a new home as part of a routine summer overhaul.

The Monkees-aspiring JONAS debuted May 2 before a solid 4 million viewers, only to get hammered by an iCarly special the following week.

Starting this weekend, the Jonases’ show, which formerly led off Saturdays, will be placed behind Sonny With a Chance, which itself will air after Hannah Montana, on Sundays.

According to Disney, JONAS was May’s top-rated TV show among children 6-11, who, unfortunately for the sibling stars, aren’t old enough to work for the New York Times—and lobby against articles that ask if their act is “fizzling.”

Miley Cyrus Gets A Not So Big Paycheck From Disney

Yikes, it looks like Miss Miley Cyrus really upset some of the top executives at the Disney Channel because they are definitely not paying her what she is usually worth! Miley makes a lot more than most of us for a normal week of work, except one week that is coming up in June where she will only be making $5,000 for her guest appearance on the Disney Channel Original Series “The Suite Life on Deck.”

It is speculated that Disney is still upset about Miley and her dad trying to quit “Hannah Montana,” and are making her pay the price now, but asking her to work extra hours on cameo appearances for their other Disney Channel shows. We wonder how much longer Miley will last with Disney is they keep paying her far less than what’s she’s used to…what are your thoughts?

Disney Channel Goes Green - Photos!

Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez take a load off as they film a new PSA for the Disney Channel.
The trio, all 16, join 29 other Disney Channel stars that are participating in Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green, a multi-platform environmental initiative that invites kids to join together to help the environment across four key areas: climate, water, waste and habitats.

During the project, kids will learn practical ways to preserve the planet, track their collective impact and have the opportunity to vote on how $1 million in donations from Disney will be divided and invested in various environmental causes over the course of a year.
