With a Chance of Dating

Demi Lovato stands by guest star Kelly Blatz (from Disney’s XD’s Aaron Stone) in this new behind-the-scenes still from Sonny With A Chance.
In the upcoming ep “With A Chance of Dating,” Sonny (Lovato) is asked on a date by suave ‘MacKenzie Falls’ guest star James Conroy (Blatz), who also happens to be Tawni’s (Tiffany Thornton) ex-boyfriend.
Before country hopping, Kelly dished to JJJ about his leading role on Aaron Stone. He shared, “My favorite scene to film by far would have to be when Charlie takes a dark turn in an episode entitled ‘Chuck and Charlie’ and walks into Mr. Halls office to confront him. Actually that whole episode was my favorite one to film (episode will air in June on Disney XD). Most memorable would have to be the one where I was driving the Ferrari up and down the street! It was always a childhood dream of mine to do that!”
The 22-year-old actor also also his jet-setting ways. He shared, “I am very excited!! I am going first to Singapore for press for Aaron Stone and then to Sydney, Australia for press as well! I have never been to either of those places and I couldn’t be more thrilled! One of my best friends actually lives in Sydney now, so I will be able to see him and he’s gonna show me around. I am also going to the V music Festival where one of my favorite bands The Killers are headlining. Going to be an experience! I don’t think I will want to come back!”
During his trip he also stopped in Singapore, where he went to Orchard Road for a shopping spree and bought a few t-shirts, hats and was even inspired to purchase two kimono-style sweaters from a Japanese-inspired clothing store. Kelly was very excited to find the hats that finally fit him. “I can never find hats that fit my head!” Kelly has said.
Sonny’s “With A Chance of Dating” airs THIS Sunday, April 12 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.
