LA Times article on how 'Barney & Friends' has become a launching pad for young stars like Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez & Madison Pettis. 'Barney', filmed office building in suburban Dallas, has become a launching pad for child stars shooting along the career path blazed by Miley Cyrus and a generation of Mouseketeers before her. The 1990s version of 'The Mickey Mouse Club' launched the careers of Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell and Ryan Gosling. In similar fashion, 'Barney & Friends' for the last few years has been a training ground for several aspiring child actresses. Texans Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Madison Pettis are all 'Barney' alumni.
