We were big phone people, so we called each other all time and if we couldn’t we just always knew.”

And, even though it’s hard to be far away from her best friend, Selena knows in the long run it doesn’t matter. “She’s the type of friend that if I can’t or she can’t talk to me for one day I know that I’ll always have her and it’ll be okay. The comedic actor shared about Miley, “She’s sort of like – and don’t take this the wrong way, I hope she doesn’t take this the wrong way – she’s sort of like hanging out with a dude. You can’t say anything to shock her. We spend more time burping and farting around each other on the set – I think people would be just shocked with how non-shockable she is.”

Looks like Robert Pattinson is going to stick side-by-side with Twilight production company, Summit Entertainment.

Variety reports that the 22-year-old British actor is in talks to star in the upcoming Memoirs. The flick centers on a pair of star-crossed lovers who meet and fall in love while struggling to deal with family tragedies that threaten their relationship.

Robert is currently reprising his role as dazzling vampire Edward Cullen in New Moon.

The 16-year-old has a surprisingly mature understanding of her unique position. "I always wanted this to be my life," Selena says, "but I don't want it to live my life for me." ON LOOKING UP TO BRITNEY SPEARS: "In a way, Britney can be someone to look up to. She was constantly being looked at and picked on, and it’s starting to happen to me. At the moment, I don’t have anything good they can pick on me with, but they’ll find something. Maybe I can be as strong."

ON BEING PROUD OF HER LATIN ROOTS: "I didn’t even realize what a big deal it was to be Latin at first. But then one day being with my dad, it hit me: it’s pretty neat to be Mexican. And there aren’t enough Latinas in Hollywood—or there are, but they don’t get the recognition. So to be able to come out here and use that, it’s really a powerful thing."

ON BEING A PEREZ HILTON FAVORITE: "I felt like it was a school yearbook and I made most popular,” she says of her first mention on Hilton’s blog. “I’ve never met him, but he’s been very nice to me. That’s a good thing, ’cause not everybody is so nice."

The 16-year-old actress is the new ambassador for DoSomething.org’s Animal Welfare project. Selena most recently filmed a dog-umentary to bring awareness to some of the careless treatment of dogs in Puerto Rico.

Selena’s goal is to find these dogs homes by sending them to different places in the U.S that have no-kill dog shelters.

Actress Ashley Greene doesn’t have to use the intuitive powers of her Twilight character, Alice Cullen, to know fans will love Taylor Lautner’s shirtless scenes in the upcoming sequel The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

“He looks like he’s in 300!” Ashley tells In Touch of the 17-year-old, who packed on nearly 30 pounds of muscle to play Jacob Black again.

“I was in the makeup trailer and I looked over as he was taking his shirt off and said to him, ‘You’ve got to be joking!’” Ashley recalls. “He looks fantastic. The girls are going to be satisfied, let me tell you!”

Ashley’s also doing her part to make girls’ dreams come true: She’s a spokesperson for donatemydress.org, a charity where teens can donate a gently used prom dress for a girl in need to a Saks Fifth Avenue store through March 31 and in return receive a store discount.

On Drew Barrymore possibly directing the third film, Eclipse: “I like her as an actor. I’ve never spoken to her. I know that she made that movie [Whip It!] recently that I haven’t seen. I don’t know; I really admire her as an actress, and she’s been in [Hollywood] for so long — I’m sure she’s very smart and interesting.”

On preparations for New Moon: “Everything [is better]! We’re sort of revamping. The look of the vampires has gotten that much better — now they just look clean and crisp. They’re beautiful, really. We’ve had all of our rehearsals, it’s pretty much done — all of the prep for the script, it’s solid. There’s no more work to be done, whereas a lot of times you’ll be on a movie and you scramble the night before and make sure everything’s done, and then you lose sequence of the whole thing because you don’t shoot in order. We’re set! It feels so good.”

On the departure of Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke: “Well, it wasn’t like it was a big bomb that was dropped. It wasn’t much of a shock. To be honest, I don’t know much about the inner-workings of whatever was going on within the studio, [but] everybody has creative integrity and everybody has to be on the same page when you’re making a movie.”

DoSomething.org ambassador Selena Gomez and her Wizards costar Jake T. Austin are making a difference for the pups of Puerto Rico.
The 16-year-old actress filmed a heart-breaking ‘dog’-umentary on the beach last weekend to bring awareness to some of the carelessness of the dogs in Puerto Rico. Selena has rallied her friends — band Forever The Sickest Kids, Taylor Swift, Corbin Bleu and Rita Rocks star Nicole Sullivan — and teamed up with Charity Buzz to benefit Island Dog, Inc.
Selena wrote on her MySpace, “Hey. I just wanted to let everyone know the new Charity Auction has launched. It runs until March 31st so be sure to check it out and get your parents permission to make a bid. Thank you all so much for being a part of this Charity Auction. Also whether you bid on something or not everyone can help. Go to www.islanddog.org to see all the different ways you can help the dogs and cats of Puerto Rico.”

Selena Gomez was more than happy to take a picture with JJJ reader Jackie and her pals in Puerto Rico last weekend.
Jackie writes to JustJaredJr.com about her meet and greet with Selena, “My friends and I were touring Old San Juan on Sunday, March 8. As we walked through the gate of La Forteleza onto a beautiful cobblestone street, we spotted someone with a telescopic lens. It dawned on me that he was not exactly a tourist, but rather a papparazzo! Who was he taking photos of? Selena Gomez, her mom, and step dad, of course! After we came to the conclusion that it was in fact Selena, we ran down the street and asked to take a picture with her. When we got to her, Selena, was actually offering to take pictures FOR tourists who clearly did not recognize who she was. So nice of her! We ended up asking her mom to take the photo. Luckily, I set my DSLR camera to auto-mode beforehand! As you can see, we, except Selena, were all sweaty from the humidity.”
Selena, 16, also posted on her official Twitter that costar Jennifer Stone was flying into Puerto Rico this weekend. She wrote, “Jennifer gets in townnn tonight! thank goodness for a piece of home, i love her dearly. She’s my crying buddy.”

Jennifer Stone made it to Puerto Rico safe and sound. Before the 16-year-old actress went to sleep, she had to upload a new vid and gush about BFF costar Selena Gomez.
Jennifer, who is in Puerto Rico to film the Wizards movie, tweeted, “I got to Puerto Rico and may I just say Selena and David DeLuise are two Godsends that I am fortunate to have in my life.”
She continued in her vid, “[Costars] David DeLuise and Selena came over and we talked. Everytime I see them after I haven’t seen them in a while, I realize how much I miss them and what great people they are.”

Natalie shared with JJJ about her visit to the sets of Sonny and The Suite Life on Deck. She wrote, “I met Demi Lovato at a taping of Sonny With a Chance. My friend works on the show so she invited me to come see it. I got to meet and take pictures with the whole cast.
“Demi was really sweet and down to earth. Everyone was pushing to get a picture with her and when she saw people pushing me she kindly said ‘Guys please don’t push my friend, I promise to take pictures with all of you’ and then she took a picture with me. She is really funny and she couldn’t stop laughing in between takes either. The taping was super fun.
“The video is from The Suite Life on Deck, I went to a taping (again through my friend) and I sang ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift and met the cast. I also met YouTube star Lucas [Cruikshank] aka Fred. He was really chill and was there for a meeting with Disney. Maybe he’ll be on the show soon?”

Demi Lovato gets a slobbery kiss from a sea lion at Atlantis’s Paradise Island in The Bahamas over the weekend.

The 16-year-old Sonny starlet spent time with the marine life, squeezed some shopping in at Marina Village and even surprised some fans with tickets to her concert on Saturday night.

Afterwards, Demi was seen driving herself and a friend around in a golf cart at Aquaventure water park. Sounds like fun!

Demi Lovato is all smiles as she goes through security at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (March 7).

The 16-year-old Sonny star was wearing an old-school AC/DC gray shirt. Demi is on her way to the Bahamas.

JJJ learned recently that the Sonny With A Chance set is actually the same set that was used by 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Demi’s dressing room is actually Will Smith’s old one. How cool!

New Video

Demi Lovato gets soaked to the bone on the set of her new music video, “Don’t Forget,” in Los Angeles last week.

The 16-year-old Sonny starlet shot the whole video at Griffith Park in two days. Demi twittered about it last week, hinting to her many fans on what she was doing. She wrote, “You know you’re cold when you’re soaking wet and you can see your breath outside.. I won’t FORGET this video shoot.”

After the video wrapped, Demi flew back to Texas to join her BFFs Jonas Brothers at one of their many theater invasion stops, The Grapevine Theater in Dallas, Texas.

Sophmore CD

Demi Lovato got a chance to chat with MTV at the purple carpet premiere of Jonas Brothers: 3D Concert Experience earlier this week.

The 16-year-old starlet dished on Camp Rock 2, her sophomore album and her own 3D adventure. Check it:

On her sophomore album: “We just started working on the first few songs this week. It’s kind of changing from rock to more soulful and has more bluesy songs, but at the same time it will have rock, but more myself. It’s definitely more mature. There’s a lot more instruments. We haven’t really done too much work on the album, so I can’t really make a lot of observations. What I hope to hear is more music that comes from my heart.”

On what she sees in the future for her Camp Rock character, Mitchie: “I haven’t seen the script yet. I know just as much as you do, and I don’t even know when I’m filming it other than this fall. I’d like her to stay the same, maybe a little more true to herself. I guess funnier.”

On having a 3D concert movie of her own some day: “I would like to [do one]! That’d be awesome. I’ve got to remind myself not to sweat somehow, ’cause when you’re onstage it might be kind of hard not to sling sweat at someone in 3-D!”

Demi Lovato is all excited today — she got her driver’s permit!!!

The 16-year-old Sonny star just blogged, “YAY I GOT MY PERMIT! you guys know before Selena does… Haha gonna call her now!”
